Oh, my word I am so sorry we’ve been so quiet here! It’s not much of an excuse, I know! Nevertheless, here it is: my sincerest apologies, readers :3

And now on to a treat: I have here a complete review of Urban Decay’s beautiful, BEAUTIFUL Naked2 palette. It’s a cult favourite and frankly, it’s one of mine too.

TOXICITY: Contains talc, bismuth oxychloride
VEGAN: No – all shadows may contain carmine (d’oh! – the brush is vegan however :))
RATING: 4/5 (a point docked for the ingredients and the average lipgloss)

Without further ado:

Urban Decay – “Naked2” (complete palette)

The palette includes:

12x neural-coloured eye shadows (ranging from purest milky matte to black);
1x berry-red ‘Lip Junkie’ lip gloss in Naked
Dual-ended ‘Good Karma’ vegan eye shadow brush (one end for blending, one for definition);
A whole lot of neutral gorgeousness.

I’m very excited, because this is the Ethical Peach’s first review for luxe US cosmetics brand, Hourglass… and I happen to be a huge fan of Hourglass. These guys are famous for their complexion products. I have to say, from my experience with their in-store testers, I’m not going to be arguing with this stake on their reputation – their face products are exquisite, although so far my budget has pretty much prevented me from purchasing any of them.

Despite the truly exceptional quality of their complexion ranges, Hourglass has clearly not been skimping on their paying attention to their other products. Lips and eyes are equally well catered for and today we’ll be focussing on an example from the latter.

RATING: 5/5 (I was going to dock a point for the inclusion of the ingredients stated above, but I think the vegan-ness and sheer quality of the product deserves its 5/5 rating :))
